Mission Teams are often life-changing. They bless the host, expose you to new cultures and help you catch God's heart for the nations. In everything we do, we place a high priotity on mission that is:
We will be launching our 2014 teams at our Nations Sunday on 27th October 2013. Download our 2012 Mission Booklet by clicking on the image to the left, or see below for details about the Mission Teams we are planning for 2014.
MACEDONIA: POSTGRADS & ACADEMICS ONLY
For the fourth year running, a team of postgraduate students and academics will be travelling to Macedonia to support the work of Mission Pioneers, Kosta & Nada Milkov, based in Skopje. The trip, which is being organised in conjunction with the Oxford Pastorate Chaplaincy, will focus on three areas: prayer for Macedonia and its people; cultural engagement; and outreach events, primarily in the form of academic lectures. We’re looking for postgraduates and academics with a heart for Europe, for academic and cultural outreach and for the church, to join this team.
Dates: Easter Vacation 2014
Approx cost: ca. £400
BETEL, SPAIN: STUDENTS ONLY
This summer, the students will be returning to the amazing ministry of Betel. Focused on reaching out to drug-adicts, Betel is now one of the largest churches in Spain. You'll be living in the homes of recovering addicts, supporting them in their spiritual and practical lives, as well as going on outreaches around the city. A truly transformational trip - if you're a student don't miss out. All the details will be announced next term at Student Night, and on the student mailing list. To make sure you're on the list, contact: email@example.com
For the third year running, we want to take a team to our Mission Associates, Francois and Gosia Danthon, and their ministry in Paris. Getting a vision of what God is doing in Paris is a big part of this trip - learning from leaders and visiting church ministries- but we also have a big focus on outreach - evangelisim on the streets, tourism ministry in historic churches, English classes in schools and whatever other opportunities God brings our way. French would be helpful, but not neccessary.
Dates: A long weekend in May/June 2014
Cost: Approx. £200
Led by Sena Ounate and the International Pastorate, this team will be supporting the work of some churches in Normandy that we are building a partnership with. The team with take part in outreaches, supporting an alpha course, prayer walking, sharing in services and forming relationships with people in the church. French would be helpful, but not vital as translation is provided.
Dates: 21st - 28th February 2014
Cost: £100 - £300 (varied according to accomodation)
Following on from last years team to Sweden, we are keen to grow our numerous links with Sweden in 2014. Our focus would be to encourage and equip the Swedish church in their mission, through prayer and the prophetic. We would initially seek to gather a group passionate about Sweden and pray together about what a ministry team to Sweden could look like, before taking our plans forward. If this catches your interest, please get in contact with Caroline and Goran.
Dates: Easter or Summer 2014
Email: firstname.lastname@example.org (Caroline and Goran)
Returning back to support the international church-plant of our friends, Nicole and Kirk Simms, this team is focussed around leading a 'church weekend-away' for their fellowship, in order to strengthen them for their mission to Hamburg. We need kids and youth workers, Bible teachers, worship leaders, prayer ministry members and those with a heart to serve and encourage others. The church is English speaking, although very international.
Dates: 9th - 12th May 2014
Cost: Approx. £200 - £300
SIERRA LEONE: FULLY BOOKED!
Following Jan Sessenberg (previous Mission Pioneer) back to Kroo Bay, Freetown, to help a locally-led evangelism campaign. Meeting and praying with people during the day, and supporting Sierra Leonean's during the evening evangelism events through prayer and testimonies, this will be a wonderful opportunity to bring more of Christ's light to the slum of Kroo Bay. People with a heart to step out in faith, to learn from others, and to support the Sierra Leonean's in their evangelism would be ideal for this team.
Dates: 18th - 28th January 2014
We've been invited by our Mission Pioneer, Tabby, to put together a team with a vision to reach students from an unreached people group. Living and working on the University campus in a large city, you'll spend the morning being taught the language on campus, the afternoon meeting people on campus, and the evening being part of events inviting people to consider the gospel, often for the first time. If being a part of this team interests you, please get in touch.
Dates: September 2014
Cost: Approx. £1000
