St Aldates church is looking to appoint a School of Ministry Pastor. This person has the privilege of recruiting, training and sending future leaders into the world to serve God in bringing His kingdom on earth. He or she will be a member of the leadership team of St Aldates, acting as pastor and mentor to 10-15 interns each academic year and ensuring a quality annual training plan that develops their character, skills and gifting. There will also be a significant administrative element to the role.
The School of Ministry is an exciting, well established, one-year internship programme for 18-25 year olds. It is geared towards those who want to go deeper in their relationship with God and learn more about who He created them to be and how best to use the gifts He has given to them. Interns come from the UK and abroad to join the St Aldates staff team for an enriching and transforming year. Each week, the interns receive teaching and mentoring, and spend time within a chosen specific department putting into practice what they are learning.
This high capacity individual will have prior experience of Christian leadership, teaching, pastoring and mentoring, with excellent interpersonal skills. They will be self motivating, efficient and well organised, with humility and a commitment to the wider vision and aims of St Aldates. Some theological training is required.
