On Friday 24 and Saturday 25 October Christians from across the city gathered to hear Mark Marx and his team teach on ‘Healing on the Streets’. Inspired by testimonies of the power of God and the gospel we then went out onto the streets of Oxford to offer prayer for healing to anyone and everyone. While many were bemused by the offer of prayer, and some too embarrassed or shy to take us up on it, we prayed for a large number of people right there and then, with some asking for prayer on behalf of friends and loved ones who were sick or suffering. There were reports as we prayed of aches and pains melting away, headaches gone, peace coming to those who were feeling depressed and burdened. Someone with a sprained wrist went away healed, and one man’s leg grew visibly as he was prayed for which brought complete healing to his knee.

How amazing to see the transforming power of Jesus in action on the streets of our city. This is only the beginning – greater things have yet to come and we’ll be out in Oxford to offer prayer again and again. This gospel really is such good news!
