The Hospitality Facilities Assistant focus in providing support the warden on the practical duties related to the well-functioning of Commonwealth House. For this we are looking for a very practical and hands-on multi skilled person, able to attend to emerging needs as well as day to day tasks. Changing bulbs, checking stock, preparing breakfast, checking rooms are just some examples. Someone with servant heart and a desire to serve God and witness of his/her faith amongst internationals and visiting academics through practical hospitality duties. For such a service focused role, it’s important that the person can show high levels of flexibility and enjoys meeting with people from different cultures. Excellent communication skills and a can-do attitude are essential elements.

The Personal Assistant (PA) to the Rector plays a pivotal role in supporting the spiritual and organisational leadership of St Aldates Church. This post requires a professional who brings exceptional organisational capability, sound judgment, and relational maturity to ensure the Rector’s ministry is delivered smoothly and effectively.
The PA is responsible for managing the Rector’s diary, communications, and administrative priorities in a way that maximises his time and focus for ministry, leadership, and vision. The ideal candidate will combine high emotional intelligence with professionalism, anticipating needs, maintaining confidentiality, and communicating with clarity and warmth.

The Church Facilities and Events Assistant, along with the Head Verger, enables the growth of key ministry outreach. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic to play a key role in welcome, church and Parish Centre management, and set up for all ministries.
You will be part of a team that builds, encourages imaginative ways to deliver ministry through the practical support of hospitality and church and event set up.
This role is either full time or part time with varied or regular out of office hours, late nights and weekend working which can be flexible and suited to candidates.

The Student Pastor is part of the Ministry Leads team and plays a key role in shaping the student ministry at St Aldates. The purpose of this role is to invite, equip and envision students by helping them encounter Jesus, grow as disciples, and live out their faith with purpose during their university years and beyond.
You will help lead the weekly Student Night gathering, build strong communities of discipleship, identify and raise new leaders, and oWer pastoral support to students at both Oxford University and Oxford Brookes University. You will also support student interns and volunteer teams, helping them flourish in their roles.
